Because Photo Desktop 2 heavily depends on Apple's Core-Image, it also has some specific requirements for your computer. Although it can depend on the amount of photos you add to your desktop, a minimum set of requirements is set, some options of Photo Desktop can be adjusted to increase the application's performance, the Photo Desktop Setup Assistant can help you set these settings.

When necessary you can use 'About this Mac' from your Apple menu, to find your computers configuration.

Note: Photo Desktop only requires limited resources when running inactively in the background.
